Join Regatta Point at Lake Chauncy this summer as kids will learn the basics of sailing including, boat parts, rigging/derigging, wind direction, points of sail, and water safety while sailing, playing games, swimming and paddling!
Regatta Point's primary training boats are safe, stable Hunter 15s. Our fleet also includes several other types of boats from keelboats to kayaks, and we provide the opportunity for our campers to experience these craft as well.
We oversee sailing practice from our safety launches.
Our staff is made up of trained professionals, many of whom learned to sail right here at Regatta Point!
Senior Instructors are US Sailing certified. All camp instructors are lifeguard/first aid/CPR/AED certified. We maintain a camper to staff ratio of 10:1.
- Sailing (Ages 8-11)
- Whether your child is a novice sailor or just starting out, Regattta Point Sailing programs provide an opportunity to learn or advance sailing skills while working with other kids in a cooperative environment.
- “Safety, Fun, and Learning” is the motto that guides all of our children’s programs. In addition to following the best practices for physical waterfront safety (like wearing life jackets at all times), we also try to create an environment where kids feel welcomed. Since our program allows each participant to skipper their own boat, kids learn to challenge themselves, be creative, and gain self-confidence.
- Sailing also provides the opportunity for kids to experience the practical application of science and math.
